Mobile entertainment company Thumbplay has signed a distribution deal with Sony BMG that will add more than 7,000 pieces of content spanning ringtones, videos, wallpapers and games to its catalog.

Thumbplay now has mobile content deals with the four major labels. The pact means Thumbplay now has licensing agreements with three of the four major record labels--Sony BMG, EMI and Universal Music Group. Sony's artist lineup includes Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and Beyoncé.

Under the deal, Thumbplay will also issue an exclusive ringtone marking the 25th anniversary of Michael Jackson's "Thriller," the top-selling album of all time. Thumbplay overall offers 80,000 mobile content items sold through its own site, as well as mobile portals such as those of AOL and MSN.
