Comcast Considers Charging Customers For Downloading

  • May 8, 2008
Comcast is currently considering charging broadband customers who download more than 250 gigabytes of data a month higher fees.

"Comcast is currently evaluating this service and pricing model to ensure we deliver a great online experience to our customers," a company spokesman said Wednesday. Most Web users don't come close to downloading 250 gigabytes worth of data in a month; only one-tenth of one percent currently download that much data, according to The New York Times.
