24/7 Real Media Expands Patent Licensing Program

24/7 Real Media, Inc. has completed an extensive review of the business practices of leading companies in the paid search industry, and believes that these companies, particularly those active in the "paid listings" segment, practice the Company's U.S. Patent No. 6,026,368, entitled "On-Line Interactive System And Method For Providing Content And Advertising Information To A Targeted Set of Viewers," and should take a license to it. In addition, 24/7 Real Media announced that it has recently identified several companies that it believes practice its U.S. Patent No. 5,446,919, entitled "Communication System and Method with Demographically or Psychographically Defined Audiences." Specifically, 24/7 Real Media believes that the '919 patent is practiced by several companies that provide technology that allows cable television system operators to send targeted advertising and product offerings to digital cable subscribers based on data stored in the subscribers' set top boxes.
