Youth sports network Weplay this week received a $8.6 million Series-B funding round led by Deep Fork Capital. Pro athletes Derek Jeter, Peyton Manning, and LeBron James also contributed to the round.

The site is an online community for youth athletes, their parents and their coaches to network, schedule soccer practice, and share photos and other content.

Weplay's Series A round earlier this year was led by FirstMark and had participation from other current and former pro athletes, including the NBA's Tony Parker, soccer player Brandi Chastain, and swimmer Summer Sanders.--Gavin O'Malley
