iCrossing Selects ECDs, Adds Former Digitas Creative

iCrossing, a global digital marketing company, has promoted Stephen Thompson and Eric Wegerbauer to the positions of senior vice president, executive creative director. iCrossing also announced that former Digitas creative executive, Kenan Aktulun, has joined iCrossing as vice president, group creative director,

Thompson joined iCrossing in 2007. He brings more than 25 years of agency experience--both traditional and digital--to iCrossing. Throughout his career, Thompson has led the creative strategy and development for Motorola, Intel and Kelloggs. Prior to iCrossing, he was vice president of creative with Agency.com, where he developed creative strategies and integrated campaigns for HP, Energizer and Grainger.

Wegerbauer joined iCrossing in 2006. Throughout his digital career, Wegerbauer has worked with top brands, including Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Disney, Coca-Cola and Fox Broadcasting Co. Before joining iCrossing, he worked for Genex, Deutche, Inc., and TBWAChiatDay. Before making the leap to digital, Wegerbauer was an architect with famed architectural firm Frank O. Gehry & Associates, where he worked on some of the firm's most famous structures, including the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain and the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.

Based in New York, Aktulun will work closely with fellow VP, group creative directors--Troy Scarlott in Los Angeles; Lori Wilson in Dallas; and Steve Shay in Chicago--to expand the company's growing creative work with clients on both sides of the Atlantic. Aktulun brings more than 17 years of experience as a creative leader in both the U.S. and Europe. Most recently, he served as vice president, group creative director at Digitas in New York. His client experience includes American Express, Samsung, Pfizer, IBM, Motorola, Dell, SAP, Heidelberg and Deutche Bank Lufthansa.--Tanya Irwin
