OpenTable, Zagat Partner To Enable Mobile-Based Reservations

  • August 12, 2008
Serious foodies can now reserve tables at more than 4,000 restaurants directly from the mobile Web, as Zagat Survey has tapped OpenTable to power reservations through its ZAGAT.mobi site.

ZAGAT.mobi offers the same ratings, reviews and contact info available through the printed Zagat guides, and OpenTable participants will feature a table and chairs icon alongside their listing. Users can then enter the date, time and party size, and OpenTable will create the reservation.

The two companies have had a long-standing partnership to enable online reservations through Zagat.com, but ZAGAT.mobi is the first mobile site to tap into OpenTable's new mobile service. --Tameka Kee
