Staying Small Pays Off

Advertising network and service provider Fastclick, celebrated their one year anniversary Tuesday to the tune of a 61% average increase in monthly revenue since October 2000. Founded by three engineers and employing fewer than six staff members, co-founder Dave Gross attributes Fastclick's success to a few key factors. "The company is prospering because we decided to stay small and focus our energy on our technology and customers' needs. Our clients are happy with our services, and continue to bring us new business." And the numbers are there to prove it: delivering 400 million ads a month for over 200 clients, the company is averaging a 79% increase in monthly gross profit since October 2000.
