KNTV, the Bay Area's incoming NBC affiliate, has announced that AT&T Broadband, a Bay Area cable operator, is providing KNTV's programming on cable channel 3 to South San Francisco, Colma, Burlingame and portions of the City of San Francisco, effective immediately. The announcement represents the latest phase in KNTV's ongoing Bay Area cable rollout plan. KNTV is now available to an additional 94,000 cable-enabled homes, completing the second phase of the station's cable rollout plan. This brings to 676,000 the total number of homes with access to KNTV on channel 3. When the final phase is completed December 31, 2001, KNTV will have 100% cable penetration with AT&T Broadband in the Bay Area.
