Two-year-old Retirement Living TV has reached a deal with NBC News to co-produce a daily news and public affairs show on the network. As part of the arrangement, MSNBC correspondent Alex Witt will host "Daily Café" as it broadcasts live from NBC studios in New York and Washington.

"Daily Café" begins its third season on RLTV starting Nov. 11. In seasons past, the network and NBC News had a content-sharing agreement, where NBC provided news briefs for the show, and RLTV made some of its content available to NBC. But now the parties are tightening their relationship.

The show airs weekdays from noon to 1 p.m. Former Iowa congressman and "Love Boat" star Fred Grandy will join Witt as a co-host from Washington. Witt will be based in New York.

RLTV targets adults 50-plus.

Cheryl Gould, senior vice president at NBC News, said the arrangement offers an opportunity to "specifically tailor our programming to fit the needs of mature adults."

Interviews with Elton John and George Hamilton will air during season three's opening week, along with commentary from journalists who covered the recent presidential campaign.

NBC News briefs will still appear during the show, and NBC's chief medicinal correspondent Dr. Nancy Snyderman will also provide insight.

RLTV is owned by the Erickson Foundation and is in more than 13 million homes--12 million via carriage on Comcast's CN8 network, and 1.4 million more on Verizon FiOS. Smaller MSOs Atlantic Broadband and Sunflower Broadband also carry it.

CN8 carries RLTV programming from noon to 4 p.m., while FiOS offers it 24 hours a day.

Among the network's shows are "Healthline," which features experts providing health-care advice, and "What's Next," a makeover show helping people in retirement alter their lifestyle.
