It's Definitely Not Your Mother's Macy's

Unless, perhaps, your mother is Kathy Hilton.

Dino-Ray Ramos, whose byline reads "S.F. Fashion Examiner," reports "Macy's in San Francisco Union Square was all a twitter [yesterday] afternoon when the one and only Paris Hilton sprinkled her Fairy Dust all over the store."

More than 300 people came out to buy Hilton's new fragrance, get her autograph, pose with her, or just catch a waft of her presence. For her part, Hilton told Ramos about her obsession with Tinkerbell, which is not only the name of one of her Chihuahua, but also the theme of her ad campaign. The cover of the Fairy Dust box renders Paris as a fairy, "complete with a wand and an explosion of shimmer."

Many pictures cross-promoting Fairy Dust and Macy's - credit line: "all photos by Dino-Ray Ramos (of course)" -- made it into the Web version of the story.
