Fox Sports International Hires New VP Interactive Media

Bhavesh Patel has been named Vice President, Interactive Media for Fox Sports International.

He will be responsible for the daily operations, business development, and editorial strategy for all interactive and digital media business of Fox Sports International. This includes four Fox-branded network Internet sites currently serving approximately nine million unique users, broadband video, mobile marketing and content distribution and production of VOD and IPTV content.

He also will identify and develop potential digital content partnerships and acquisition targets and negotiate digital programming rights for all FSI properties.

Prior to joining Fox, Patel served as Director of Global Digital Media for the National Basketball Association. During his eight years with the NBA, he helped negotiate many of the league's video syndication agreements with companies like Yahoo and YouTube.--Gavin O'Malley
