Raycom Media is adding $85 million in addition to its CBS affiliate WTVR Richmond, Va. to acquire Local TV's Fox affiliate WBRC Birmingham, Ala., per an FCC filing. WTVR was sold because Raycom bought
another Richmond station, WWBT. Duopoly rules forbid owning two top-rated station in one market. An earlier deal to sell WTVR to Sinclair fell through.
