Yack Shifts to Licensing/Syndication Model

Yack is moving away from the business-to-consumer model to focus on syndication and licensing of its online event guides. Yack will be modeled after traditional TV/movie listings providers, becoming a comprehensive source for Web program and event listings. Under the B2B model, Yack's advertising sales, marketing and business development departments have been combined. The new Yack Marketing & Sales division will be headed by General Manager, Victoria Quoss, who joins Yack from streaming media company Microcast, Inc. Yack will generate revenues from licensing and syndication fees, as well as ad sales and partnership fees.
