  • Omar Quinones
    Anomaly
    Anomaly hired Omar Quinones as group strategy director. Quinones joins the agency from CP+B in Miami, where he led the Strategy Department on all the agency's accounts. He most notably lead global work for American Airlines and Infiniti in Latin America. Prior to that, Quinones worked at the Boulder office, where he led efforts on the award winning "You Know You Love It" U.S. Hispanic campaign for Kraft Macaroni & Cheese. Before CP+B, he was a senior planner at The Vidal Partnership. At Anomaly, Quinones will serve as a part of strategy department's leadership team where will lead several pieces of business including Converse and Campbell's. "We have reached a critical moment, both for the Hispanic market and for the marketing industry, said Quinones. "The cultural influence of diverse voices demands that brands speak to all, equally. I believe this is the right place, with the right progressive vision, to challenge conventions and create a new paradigm for the agency of the future."
  • Nancy Reyes

    TBWA\Chiat\Day New York hired Nancy Reyes as managing director, beginning May 9. Reyes, most recently vice president of marketing creative for Verizon, has 20 years combined agency and client-side experience. In her new role, Reyes will be the day-to-day operational lead for the agency, as well as liaison across all roster clients, like GoDaddy, Travelers Insurance, H&M, Thomson Reuters and McDonald's. She will serve on the agency executive team and report to Rob Schwartz, CEO of TBWA\Chiat\Day New York. Prior to Verizon, Reyes was managing director of Goodby, Silverstein & Partners' New York office. Most of her advertising career was spent in GS&P's San Francisco office, where she worked for eleven years on a variety of accounts, including Adobe, HP, Frito-Lay, Google and Comcast. Reyes began her career in New York City at Ogilvy & Mather and D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles working on IBM and Procter & Gamble brands including Folgers, Pampers and Crest. "Nancy is a rare combination of leadership, creative taste and great business acumen," said Schwartz. "She has worked across categories on blue-chip brands earning Effies and Cannes Lions along the way. And she can easily put herself in any client's shoes because she's worked client side, too. I'm thrilled that she is joining us to help guide the agency forward."

    Deutsch New York will add Pete Johnson as executive creative director, starting in June. Johnson currently serves as Arnold's creative co-lead, executive creative director, in the Boston office, where he has worked on Progressive, Sony, Jack Daniels, New Balance, Carnival and Truth. Johnson has worked for Arnold for more than three years, and prior to that he was at LBi New York. He also held stints as a creative director at Tribal DDB and a senior copywriter at Ogilvy & Mather and MRM. "We're excited to have Pete joining us, he is an idea-driven creative with a focus on craftsmanship and his mixed-media approach make him a seamless fit for our clients and us," said Val DiFebo, CEO of Deutsch New York.
  • Beth Rilee-Kelley

    The Martin Agency promoted Beth Rilee-Kelley from chief operating officer to president. She will retain her COO duties and title. Rilee-Kelley is a 33-year veteran of the company and will report to Matt Williams, CEO. She joined the agency in 1983 as an account executive on the Barnett Bank of Florida account and was responsible for opening and managing the agency's first satellite office in Jacksonville, Florida. She moved to Martin's Richmond headquarters in 1986 and managed the Kings Dominion and Virginia Tourism accounts. During her time in account management, she also worked on Healthtex, Kindercare, Men's Health Magazine and Remy Martin. In 1997, she took on the role of director of creative services and was responsible for the management of the creative department. She was named partner in 2005 and went on to become chief operating officer in 2011. "The last president of the agency was the late Mike Hughes. It's fitting that Beth is his successor," said Joe Alexander, chief creative officer. "Like Mike, Beth is an intuitive leader, an incredible listener, and a great partner to our clients and our employees. We are lucky to have her. And I'm lucky to call her my partner and even better, my friend."

Cruz joins the agency from VSA Partners, where he served as executive creative director and associate partner. Before VSA, he served as senior vice president, group creative director, at Leo Burnett Detroit.
