Ampere Analysis reports a 14% increase in content investment by Telecom, media, and technology companies in 2021, exceeding $220 billion as subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) services intensify their demand for original programming. SVOD services such as Comcast issued $22.7 billion to content building, making them the biggest spender worldwide in 2021, followed by Disney with $18.6 billion. Ampere Analysis predicts 2022 content investments to exceed $230 billion, driven by the demand for original content in the U.S. and worldwide.
