Cyber Monday Rivals Black Friday For Shopping Plans

Deloitte's survey indicates higher-income consumers are likelier to say they'll participate by shopping on four key days: Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Small-Business Saturday and Cyber Monday.

About two out of five (42%) people with household incomes of $200,000 or more said they plan to shop on Cyber Monday, which got its name in the early days of the commercialized internet when many people used their higher-speed connection at work to look through online stores. Among this group of consumers, Cyber Monday is more preferred than Black Friday (36%), Small-Business Saturday (20%) and Thanksgiving Day (15%).
