Literally. That’s what National Geographic’s Rob Covey said during OMMA Video’s “Curated World†panel.
He said one of the biggest hits NatGeo.com has gotten recently was its posting of a story about a “translucent-headed fish.†Granted, the underwater oddity got a pretty juicy plug from “The Colbert Report,†but he said other animal oddities like a story about a giant squid also did pretty well.
But the biggest sustainable form of new content lately, he said, is the sudden interest in content about dogs, such as, “The Dog Whisperer.â€
“We’re cashing in on interest from dogs and pets,†he said.
