Buddy Media Kicks Off Ad Campaign

BuddyMedia

Social media marketing firm Buddy Media has launched a seven-figure ad campaign in the print and online versions of trade publications including Ad Age and AdWeek to promote its Facebook-focused services. Using the tagline "Power Tools for Facebook," the ads running through the first quarter of 2011 tout Buddy Media's solutions for building a presence on Facebook, "7 out of the 10 worlds' largest brands" use the company's platform.

The image of a Buddy Media-branded power drill drives home the message and clicking through the ad takes users to the company's upgraded home page including a video overview of its services. In addition to trade outlets, the ads are also running on the media and tech blogs of general publications such as The New York Times' Media Decoder blog.

Buddy Media has benefited from the surge of marketers seeking to tap into Facebook's content-sharing dynamic and large audience to sell products and services. The company's software package helps brands do everything from launching custom apps to maintaining fan pages to running promotional campaigns across Facebook as well as tracking usage.

In addition to spending big dollars on a splashy, high-profile ad campaign, Buddy Media has also just moved into 23,000 square feet of swank new office space in Penn Plaza in New York, according a Business Insider report today.

The company, which raised $6.5 million in venture funding in April, was recently valued at $150 million by the publication and ranked as No. 76 in its ranking of the 100 most valuable startups.
