Consumer Group Wants Vitamin Water

The National Consumer League, a Washington, D.C., consumer group, filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission this week asking it to investigate Coca-Cola's claims about its Vitamin Water subsidiary.

Specifically, the group objects to marketing claims like "Vitamin Water: Flu shots are so last year." The league says such language is not only deceptive but potentially dangerous. Said the company, in a statement, "Vitamin Water has always had a fun, humorous and engaging personality, and our ads reflect that."
