Toyota's Problems Mechanical, Not Electronic

The U.S. Department of Transportation has revealed the results of NASA's investigation into Toyota recalls last year found that engine electronics didn't have anything to do with the sudden vehicle acceleration some owners of vehicles like Prius experienced.

Toyota, which recalled some 8 million vehicles to remedy the problem, has said the faulty acceleration was due to defective gas pedals and interfering floor mats.
