An Illinois lawmaker has introduced a bill to allow corporate sponsorship of license plates. Motorists could, theoretically, buy sponsored plates at a discount. The lawmaker, state Sen. John Mulroe,
D-Chicago, said it would let the state raise revenue without raising taxes.
