Fox' strong fall looks for more in mid-season

Fox doesn't look to slow down come mid-season -- returning "American Idol" for its 11th season and three new dramas. Fox won the fall rating race among 18-49 viewers and improved in many other categories.

"Idol", while down in ratings versus recent years, looks to get a big jump coming after the NFC Championship Game on January 22nd - this following a special two-night premiere on Wednesday and Thursday of the week before.

"Touch", with Fox favorite Kiefer Sutherland and "Heroes" producer Tim Kring, will start up Wednesday January 25. J.J. Abrams' "Alcatraz" will begin on Monday, Jan. 16. "House" will be paired first with "Alcatraz" Monday; then "House" will paired with "Touch" later in the season.

New procedural "The Finder" beginning Thurs. Jan. 12., coming after "Idol". Fox strong Sunday night comedy block will get new shows “Napoleon Dynamite", starting on Sunday, Jan. 15. then "Breaking In" on March 6. The return of "Bob's Burgers" will happen on March 11.

Fox seemingly had one casulty: Sunday animation-comedy "Allen Gregory" is nowhere to be found on the schedule for the rest of the 2011-2012 season.
