Boston-based independent agency Digital Impulse is opening a second office in Portland, Maine where a number of clients have operations. 

The new 1,000 square-foot office will be located in in Portland’s Downtown District. Initially the Digital Impulse office will have a staff of three, but agency executives say plans are to add 15 new agency staffers over the next two years. The agency currently employs a total of 16.   

The Portland office is a first step in an expansion plan to establish outposts in a number of major metro areas on the East Coast,  says Jeff Mitchell, Co-founder/COO. “We want to be working where are clients are working," he says. “We needed additional marketing and production positions to meet client demand and felt that Portland, with a combination of great quality of life and talent should be our next regional office beyond the greater Boston area." 

Mitchell also has a personal reason for selecting this location. "Having grown up in Portland and maintaining ties to the area, I’m very cognizant of the growing number of creative minds there," says Mitchell. "To us, it was no-brainer decision when looking to expand, geographically.”  

The full-service digital marketing agency offers web design and development services as well as mobile and search marketing services to clients that includes J.Jill, Arbella Insurance, SonoBello, Improper Bostonian and Stephanie’s Restaurant Group.
