Amazon Set To Make Voice Commerce Common

Amazon Prime Day demonstrated that voice commerce will become common place if the marketplace gets its way. The Echo Dot and the Amazon Echo were this year's big Prime Day sellers, which ranked in the top five of searches, according to data released this week.

Amazon said it gained more new Prime members on July 11 than any other day in the company's history. It also noted that Echo Dot was the best-selling product across any category globally.

Alexa-enabled devices, like the Fire tablet, also reached record sales, ranking high in search-engine queries on Google.
