Drew Barrymore, Guy In A Chicken Suit Front New Quorn Ad

Quorn, last seen taking over a town in England, has released a new spot starring Drew Barrymore that shows her and a large chicken cavorting to a pop song while reading and having pillow fights.

The 60-second spot, shot in New York City, shows Barrymore and her chicken friend (a guy in a chicken suit) trying on clothes, dancing, reading Drew magazine (actually, the chicken reads Drew while Barrymore reads “Chicken” magazine) and painting each other’s nails.

The song in the ad is credited as “Best Friend” from Hungry Man Productions, evokes the 1970s. So do the production values of the ad, which mimic the home movies format of the era.

Quorn’s vegan products have been available in the U.K. since the 1980s. More recently, the brand came to the U.S., with distribution at Whole Foods, Kroger, Kings and Foodtown.

The ad, via Hungry Man Productions, comes as Quorn recently welcomed Barrymore as its first Chief Mom Officer. Barrymore has experimented with vegan diets in the past but appears to be committed to it and Quorn.

"This partnership is very personal for me,” stated Barrymore. “As a mom of two daughters, I know the importance of having affordable, easily accessible and delicious options that I feel good about serving my kids. I love this brand because the integrity of its mission truly motivates me, and I'm honored to be joining as Chief Mom Officer."
