Hospitality Veteran Meyers Becomes Marco's Pizza COO

 

In light of several chains currently seeking new executives, pizza seems to be the HOT category if you’re a looking for a senior position in fast-casual.

Now Marco’s Pizza has announced the appointment of restaurant and hospitality veteran John Meyers to COO. He previously served as Marco’s senior vice president of finance and business intelligence, a role he held since 2022, and was also vice president of finance and business intelligence starting 2019 at the chain.

"John consistently demonstrates exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and a deep commitment to our brand values, and this promotion is a testament to his hard work and invaluable contributions to our company's success,” said Tony Libardi, co-CEO and president of Marco's Pizza.

In the new position, Meyers will oversees several departments including technology, supply chain and operations.

Meyer has an extensive 25-plus year background in food and hospitality. He served two stints at The Walt Disney Company, most recently as marketing analytics director. He also spent over seven years at Darden Restaurants and Ruby Tuesday in senior positions.
