ContextWeb, Inc. to Offer Text-Based Ads

  • December 10, 2007
ContextWeb, Inc. will offer text-based ads on its ADSDAQ advertising exchange in 2008, expanding its current offering from contextually targeted graphical and rich media ads.

Advertisers will be able to contextually target more than 350 categories on the ADSDAQ exchange with the text ad format. The text ads will be offered as part of an ADSDAQ Exchange self-service ad platform expected to launch in the second quarter of 2008. Cost-per-thousand and cost-per-click pricing will be available with the new service.

The ADSDAQ Exchange currently offers advertisers access to more than 75 million monthly unique visitors (comScore, October, 2007). Nine of the top 10 marketing companies including Omnicom (agencies include Merkley + Partners, Element 79 and others), WPP (including Oglivy and others), Interpublic (includes DraftFCB and others), and aQuantative (including Avenue A-Razorfish and others) currently use the ADSDAQ exchange to run graphical and rich media content-targeted campaigns. ContextWeb has a unique ability to contextually target ads in real-time at the page-level, not site-level.
