Something Inc. has announced the development of Glupod, a casual game that lets players contribute charitable investments to a variety of real-world causes.

In late May, casual gamers will be able to use in-game winnings from various puzzles and contests to support organizations that help tackle issues like poverty and hunger, endangered species and global warming. Gamers will be able to get started by signing up for a unique Glupod Angel at

"A Glupod gamer has a real purpose and a human mission," says Ioannis Tsiokos, managing director and co-founder of Athens-based Something Inc. "Glupod is more than a game. It's a simple, fun way to do good that anyone with a computer and access to the Internet can participate in."
