Interactive Advertising Bureau - Senior Manager, Business Data Analytics

General:
The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) is looking for a passionate Senior Manager, Business Data Analytics. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. This candidate will be responsible for taking charge of a project, gather important company and marketplace data to create models that depict trends and deliver insights to the Investment & Relations team as well as Management. The ideal candidate has the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and translate business data into digestible information that improves business processes. Knowledge of the digital advertising and marketing ecosystem is a requirement. 


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Research potential new markets for IAB Membership such as the education market, sunsets of the Marketing Technology sector, etc.
  • Analyze potential, identify key contacts, help shape offering, create and be responsible for the CRM tracking process.
  • Create and be responsible for regular reporting utilizing Salesforce, Tableau, Excel and power point.
  • Research potential new service offerings for products currently offered by the Investment & Relations team. For example, training courses for the education market.
  • Analyze all Salesforce data and identify gaps, provide solutions for filling these gaps, and work with the Operations team to execute on filling those gaps.
  • Work with the Operations team to create reporting for the Investment & Relations team and Management to showcase insights on trends, progress, and weaknesses in revenue and membership.
  • Analyze market data to identify new companies that are likely to purchase event sponsorship opportunities.
  • Review the competitive set, match our event content with relevant companies, and in general be a resource to sales for pipeline development of sponsorship opportunities.

Requirements and qualifications:

  • Required 8+ years’ experience and BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
  • Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with Tableau and Salesforce
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Experience engaging with teams cross-functionally and can work horizontally and vertically within an organization to achieve goals
  • Experience working in the digital advertising or marketing ecosystem
  • Knowledge of reporting packages (Tableau etc.), databases (SQL etc.), programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks) is a plus
