About the Position

Open Road Integrated Media (ORIM) is looking to expand our digital content marketing team with an entrepreneurial Email Marketing Manager who is driven, energetic, resourceful, and results-oriented. Our team has aggressive growth goals, and we need someone who can hit the ground running with hands-on experience leveraging technology to optimize, manage, and execute campaigns. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage email marketing programs for the primary purpose of increasing book and other product sales; secondary objectives: increase web site traffic and develop greater brand awareness across all stages of the buying process.
  • Communicate with distinct audiences across five vertical, genre-focused brands. Manage email calendars and planning for all brands.
  • Continuously optimize email strategies to increase performance including A/B and multivariate testing of subject lines, message content, images, offers, landing pages, mailing frequency, segments, and more.
  • Partner with creative, content (including social media), and product teams to create compelling and effective emails for our audiences.
  • Collaborate with analytics and product teams to set up necessary reporting and optimize email and on-site performance for team KPIs.
  • Keep up with email industry trends (including technological enhancements, ESP developments, and email legislation) and implement new ideas to enhance email program.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on B2C email marketing experience for an e-commerce company or agency.
  • Successful track record developing digital marketing plans, executing, measuring, and delivering on performance targets.
  • Strong project management skills, including: conceptualization, driving alignment, managing deadlines and objectives, delivering analysis and recommendations.
  • Understanding of CRM and how to measure and manage programs.
  • Experience executing and analyzing A/B or multivariate tests. Comfortable in a rapid test & learn environment.
  • Knowledge of Sailthru, highly recommended.
  • Ability to form cross-functional relationships with the entire organization. 
  • Highly motivated and high level of initiative. A self-starter.
  • Obsessive about solving problems.
  • Inspires confidence to work independently and in support of team goals and business objectives.
  • Exceptional data analysis and data manipulation skills.
