NBCUniversal - Manager, Social Audience Buying

Job Purpose: 
The Social Audience Buying Manager will assist the Director, Social Audience Buying with the planning and execution of all social planning and buying for NBC Entertainment. In this position you will have day-to-day ownership of NBC‘s paid social campaigns working to achieve direction set forth by the Director. You will work to ensure processes are in place to deliver quality campaign execution and testing on an ongoing basis.  The role will also ensure that paid social strategies and campaigns are aligned with overall business goals through partnership with the larger NBC media team.  You will also need to be able to clearly communicate insights and actions to key stakeholders.  An ideal candidate is data driven, detail oriented, and a self-starter who is excited to work in entertainment.  Knowledge in digital media planning and buying with a focus on social is essential for this role.  
 
Essential Responsibilities: 
 

  • Recommends targeted, innovative media tactics consistent with media and content strategies for larger effort
  • Ability to analyze campaign performance with regular data analysis, measuring against KPIs & report on any trends & granular insights to internal stakeholders
  • Participant in media planning and execution across all NBC Entertainment initiatives
  • Possesses an understanding of NBC’s business and the larger entertainment landscape
  • Ensures best practices are applied
  • Execute campaign reporting and provide campaign summaries
  • Ensures the timeliness and quality of media plans
  • Prepares documents to help communicate paid social plans to internal media team members

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in media/social/paid digital agency, advertising agency, direct marketing, cable/broadcasting or similar media environment
  • Experience in a previous digital media role is required, Publisher experience is a plus
  • Analytical ability to understand, manipulate, and derive insights from data
  • Ability to communicate data driven insights clearly and concisely
  • Self-starter and independent learner
  • Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment
  • Working knowledge of online performance tracking and measurement tools 
  • Strong interpersonal skills including a positive attitude
  • Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy when working with numbers
