Campbell Ewald - Media Planner

Campbell Ewald New York has an excellent opportunity available for an Assistant/ Media Planner on our Milk account. This position will involve the planning, implementation and measurement of integrated online and offline media plans on a unique and innovative piece of business.

 The Media Planner will contribute to the planning process by assisting in the following:

  • Strategic development and tactical execution of traditional, non-traditional and emerging media solutions

  • Analysis and optimization of media buys

  • Target audience analysis

  • Competitive analysis

  • Development of opportunistic media point-of-view documents to clients and agency teams

 The Media Planner will assume lead responsibility in the following areas:

  • Production and maintenance of all budget reports

  • Production and maintenance of all internal and external status documents

  • Management of all media plans, flowcharts and associated documents including tracking of all plan changes

  • Monitoring digital campaign performance and leading on all optimization recommendations

  • Providing insights for internal teams and clients when presenting recurring digital media reports

  • Management of digital campaigns from launch (IO, creative trafficking, tagging) and working with media partners to optimize performance

  • Timely and accurate execution of campaign launches including troubleshooting and resolving any issues with media/account teams and media vendors

  • Deliver paid social strategy, and launch and optimize all social campaigns, while working with interagency teams to ensure a smooth process

  • Maintenance of relationships with media vendors and internal teams

  • Monitor billing process with Assistant Media Planner, checking vendor invoices, processing for payment, approving client billing, maintaining invoice document, and resolving any questions around payment

  • Timely and accurate execution of all media projects to proceed according to plan and on deadline

  • Use of media programs for planning, reporting, trafficking, and measurement purposes (Nielsen Media Impact, Nielsen Clear Decisions, Prisma Mediaocean, Adform, Google Analytics, Adwords, and partner dashboards)

  • Increase knowledge behind online and offline media, including new and current media partners, industry trends, media landscape, and deliver team point of view documents on trends in the marketplace 

  • Maintenance and nurturing of strong, positive client relationships 

  • Management and mentoring of the team’s Assistant Media Planners 

  • Assist Supervisor with process of creating and implementing media plans across all media channels (TV, print, digital, paid social, OOH, radio, etc.)

 A Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study is highly preferred, preferably advertising or marketing communications.

The ideal candidate will exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain internal and external agency relationships. Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Six months plus agency media experience highly preferred.  Knowledge of syndicated audience research, and on-line computer media systems/tools is a strong plus.
