    Broadband speeds are increasing, the FCC said in its latest "Measuring Broadband America" report. The agency also said providers generally deliver service at speeds that match or exceed the advertised speeds. DSL technology continued to deliver slower speeds than cable and fiber, according to the report.

    Metro Nashville has asked a court to dismiss a lawsuit by Comcast over new regulations aimed at enabling Google Fiber to roll out in the city. The new regulations make it easier for Google to use utility poles in Nashville. Comcast argues that the city didn't have authority to issue the rules.
