“It’s a very daring thing to do," says Harper's Bazaar Editor in Chief Glenda Bailey of the Gwyneth Paltrow photo on the March issue. Bailey means that you don't see the famous face, rather than the fact that the actress is baring her pubic bone -- perhaps a "daring" first as well?

Most of the elements of the mag's redesign are graphic and cosmetic. Bailey seems most excited about the use of a new type font.

Amy Wicks, who reported this story of Bailey uneveiling the resdesign, has a deadpan, seemingly comic voice when writing about Bazaar's content: "Another story covers 24 hours with Tom Ford. He woke up at 4:30 a.m., took four baths and ate two doughnuts."
