San Francisco-based digital advertising solutions provider AdsWizz today announced the hiring of Rockie Thomas as vice president of business development. Thomas’ role will be to “spearhead” the partnerships and business development efforts with traditional radio broadcasters and pure players.

Thomas said in a statement, “We are finally approaching the perfect digital storm: mainstream Internet radio usage, true ad targeting/tracking abilities and smart advertisers who know the effectiveness of this space."

In the statement, AdWizz says they are “excited to leverage Rockie’s digital media expertise” that she has demonstrated over the years. Thomas owns four online radio stations – something that will not change as a result of her new position – and fully understands the ins and outs of ad money in the industry.

Thomas will be working outside of just online radio, though. The company says she will also be working on video partnerships.

The company says it remains to be seen if Thomas will be moving to the Bay Area, and she currently resides in Colorado.
