San Jose-based HiveMind Marketing, a digital marketing agency that specializes in biotech B2B marketing, was retained by Bay Area biotech company Fluxion BioSciences.

Tom Lauck, HiveMind Marketing's CEO and creative director, called the partnership, "just about the perfect fit."

"It's a good fit. We know [Fluxion VP of Marketing] Tom Driscoll. We know the industry. We know the product line," he said. He says both companies being based in the Bay Area doesn't have anything to do with the partnership, but said, "proximity is still a big plus for small agencies."

Driscoll said in an earlier statement, "HiveMind Marketing was an easy choice for us, given its strong background in biotech marketing."

HiveMind Marketing will work on Fluxion's website, blogging, and social media; their e-mail, organic, and paid search; and more.
