Beverly-based advertising agency Rattle was selected by the Salem, Mass. Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) to lead a campaign, according to a release. Rattle’s campaign will be aimed towards tourists to the Boston and North Shore areas. Its mission will be to make people realize that PEM is a “world-class museum,” something they currently fail to do, according to the release.
“Although PEM is ranked as the #1 visitor destination in Salem by Trip Advisor and Yahoo,” stated Sally Murphy, partner/CEO of Rattle, “people are generally quite surprised to find a museum of its caliber and scope outside a major metropolitan city.”
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
