Blinkx Sees Revenue Grow by 73% in 2012

Online video search engine blinkx saw revenue grow by 73% to $198 million in fiscal year 2012, with basic earnings per share coming in at 4.8 cents, a 336% increase from 1.1 cents. The growth is in part attributed to the London Olympics and the Presidential elections as Web users logged on to view videos from 2012's big events. But strong growth in the broader online advertising industry in general also gave it wings, the company said.
