A survey of more than 15,000 people in the UK has concluded that social media use is contributing to a decline in the amount of sexual activity taking
place in the country. The survey of adults aged 16-44 found that they were having sex fewer than five times a month. Dr Cath Mercer, from University College
London, said social media and ‘modern technologies’ were behind the cooling of the national libido.
