It looks the same but Johnson's Baby Shampoo and 100 other baby products sold by Johnson & Johnson bear the "improved" label not because something has
been added but because it has been removed: formaldehyde and 1,4-dioxane. Consumers and environmental groups wanted it out, and consumer pressure worked. The company pledged to remove both chemicals
from its baby products by the end of 2013, and this month, it said that it had met that goal.
