Wrong Definition of Spam

The definition of "spam" is "commercial or marketing email that does not have the recipient's permission". Therefore, any email list that has permission is NOT "spam" by definition. There are far too many people using the word "spam" promiscuously, and incorrectly. Permission email is a legitimate and powerful marketing tool, and will remain so. Misuse of the term "spam" confuses many many folks.
