Comcast will start allowing subscribers in some markets to pay an extra $30 a month in order to avoid data caps, according to DSLReports. Currently, the company is testing a cap of 300GB a month,
with overages of $10 per 50 GB, in several markets. The new "unlimited" option will cost an additional $30 a month regardless of the amount of data consumed, the company says in an FAQ. "Note that
customers enrolled in the Unlimited Data Option who use less than 300 GB in a given month will still be charged $30 for that month," Comcast writes.
