The number of states that have had to ask for some sort of cyber help from the Department of Homeland Security is now at 46. In most cases, the requests were for help in shoring up
elections systems. While most experts say it would be very difficult to actually alter the outcome of the election by hacking into elections systems, most states are not taking any chances.
