Meredith Corp Names 2 New Execs For Automotive-Finance, Fashion

As it continues to grow its Luxury Group, Meredith Corporation announced two new appointments.

Melissa Strome has been tapped to become the group’s automotive and finance director, while Maria Eliason will become its fashion director.

Appointments are effective immediately and both will report to Katy Bano, associate publisher of Departures

Strome comes to Meredith from Active Interest Media, where she was most recently publisher of Yoga Journal. There, she launched several brand extensions and led sales and marketing initiatives across all platforms for the title. She has held senior sales leadership roles across the publishing world, including The New Yorker, Every Day with Rachel Ray and Marie Claire.

Eliason comes to Meredith from The New York Times. As advertising director for the publisher, she grew the digital advertising categories of fashion, luxury and retail. Eliason has held senior roles at the Daily BeastInStyle and Vanity Fair, where she was named Salesperson of the Year.
