EPG Media Rebrands, Spins Off Data, Business-Intelligence Unit

EPG Media, which publishes 14 B2B and B2C brands in the beverage, power sports and power equipment markets, announced Tuesday it’s undertaking a major rebranding and reorganization effort. It’s renaming its media and marketing-services divisions, in a move intended to focus on audience engagement through multiple channels and creation of “brand fans.”

At the same time, the company, based in suburban Minneapolis, is spinning out a new unit called EPG Specialty Information, focused on data and business intelligence and intended to provide a “springboard into a comprehensive trade and consumer measurement and insights practice,” the company said in a press release.

“The launch of EPG Specialty Information is the logical next step in the growth of our business, which has included investments in analytic tools, human talent, and market intelligence,” EPG Specialty Information Vice President and Managing Director Andrew Esham said. He noted  the company has completed its development of data products, and is now “scaling our consumer and trade insights to boost our clients’ decision-making abilities.”

The rebrand to EPG Brand Acceleration is a reflection of existing products and solutions, including brands like Beverage Dynamics, Cheers@Home, SnowGoer, Boating Industry, Beverage Wholesaler and Thunder Press.

“EPG Brand Acceleration is more of a reflection of our products and solutions that we offer clients to help propel their brands into the future,” Managing Director Sara Nath said. “No longer do you target your audience through one channel, but rather several, with a more integrated approach that is the foundation of our offerings.”

EPG is a woman-owned business with four million buyers and sellers,  “By every metric, our business prospered through the pandemic, as revenue, page views, content, and audience engagement all increased,” said CEO Marion Minor. “And we are well-positioned to further grow alongside our clients in a rapidly changing marketplace.”
