Dow Jones Hires Sherry Weiss As Chief Marketing Officer

Sherry Weiss has been appointed chief marketing officer of Dow Jones, effective Monday, Oct. 3. 

Weiss will oversee all marketing activities at Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal related to customer acquisition, retention and subscriptions and brand promotion.

Previously, Weiss was head of marketing transformation and channel delivery for Citi’s Personal Banking & Wealth Management Group. Weiss spent 12 years at Citi in a variety of roles. 

Weiss also served as head of loyalty and retention at Jet.com, an ecommerce startup acquired by Walmart in 2016.

“Her experience developing strategies and technical solutions across both marketing and product will be a tremendous asset to our efforts to expand our reach and deepen our impact as we grow Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal,” wrote Almar Latour, chief executive officer, Dow Jones, and publisher, The Wall Street Journal.
