Las Vegas police have released body camera footage from the scene where Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Jeff German was killed in September.
Former Clark County public
administrator Robert Telles has been arrested on suspicion of fatally stabbing German.
In one instance, a police officer tapes off Bronze Circle where German’s body was found,
and also can be heard talking to Las Vegas firefighters who arrived on scene to investigate the death, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal.
Robert Telles, who allegedly stabbed
reporter Jeff German to death, was arraigned in September on an open murder charge.
The killing is an unusual one in that it allegedly was committed by a
politician.
The 69 year-old German had written a series of stories in the Las Vegas Review-Journal about Telles’ alleged mismanagement of his office and charged
that Telles had an inappropriate relationship with a subordinate. Telles, a Democrat, lost his primary reelection bid, although he denied the charges.
German reportedly was planning a
follow-up story about Telles.
