Time has appointed Jessica
Sibley as chief executive officer, effective Nov. 21.
Sibley, previously chief operating officer of Forbes, succeeds Edward Felsenthal, who will remain as editor in chief and
take on a new role as executive chairman of Time.
The announcement comes as Time approaches its centennial in 2023.
Felsenthal was named to the top
editorial slot in 2017, and took on the additional job of CEO in 2018, when Time became an independent company under the ownership of Marc and Lynn Benioff.
Sibley has also helped build
growth for The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg and Condé Nast.
“We are so excited to welcome Jessica to build on Time's momentum for the next phase of our
growth,” Marc and Lynne Benioff state.
They add that Sibley “has an extraordinary record throughout her career of delivering growth and innovation and building deep relationships
with customers to ensure their success.”
Felsenthal states he is “thrilled to bring my full focus to the trusted storytelling that is at the core of everything
we do.”
