The Hollywood Reporter, a provider of U.S. entertainment news, will soon have a Japanese digital edition.
Owner Penske Media Corporation has announced a multi-year licensing partnership with digital media company Hersey Shiga Global to launch The Hollywood Reporter Japan.
The content will include entertainment news translated from the Hollywood Reporter’s U.S. website, plus original reporting on the Japanese entertainment business, The Hollywood Reporter writes.
Based in Tokyo, Hersey Shiga Global has been reporting on the city's social and entertainment scene since its 1970 founding by Bill Hersey.
“We look forward to working with our new partners at Hersey Shiga Global,” said Elisabeth Deutschman Rabishaw and Victoria Gold, executive vps and co-publishers of The Hollywood Reporter in Los Angeles.
They added, “The Hollywood Reporter is committed to expanding the reach of our premier entertainment content globally, and we look forward to this next phase of growth for our brand in this market.”
