Kelly Conniff To Serve As Deputy Editor At 'Time'

Time has promoted Kelly Conniff to the title of deputy editor. Conniff will partner with Sam Jacobs, Time editor in chief, to deliver meaningful journalism and attract new readers.

Conniff joined Time in 2012 and has served in various capacities, including “overseeing our audience and culture teams, supporting decision-making for the print magazine, and guiding our digital efforts,” Jacobs writes in a Tuesday memo to the staff.

Jacobs adds, “Her vision and skill in leading these teams over the past decade have helped grow Time’s robust presence across social media, which reaches more than 50 million people, and our newsletters, which inform 2.5 million subscribers."

In addition, Conniff edited Time’s Person of the Year” issue and cover story. Previously, she led cover stories and exclusives on Elliot Page, Game of Thrones, Barbie and Steven Spielberg. Conniff has also launched Time’s “Women of the Year” platform, and was a “key partner to our Time Studios efforts in film, television, and audience,” Jacobs continues.
